Abstract

Pain therapy has to conform with intensity and origin of inflammations and deficiencies in the body. Often used for a short symptomatic treatment of pain, analgesics may arouse a multitude of desired as well as undesired effects. Reasonable pharmacotherapy requires a solid basis and understanding of the origin of pain. In this short review some thought is given to common pharmaceutics and their either wanted but sometimes also unwanted effects.
