Abstract

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is common in childhood. Evaluation and management approaches to childhood febrile UTI have markedly evolved over the last 30 years in response to robust advances in scientific insights gained through studies that have systematically evaluated the risk of recurrent UTI, vesicoureteral reflux, and their contribution to chronic kidney disease.
