Ein Wilcoxon-Vorzeichenrangtest für stratifizierte Stichproben

Von Wilcoxons Vorzeichenrangtest für Lageunterschiede ausgehend wird die Frage untersucht, wie zu verfahren sei, wenn eine Stichprobe von Beobachtungspaaren bzw. ihrer Differenzen nicht homogen sondern geschichtet ist, wie z. B. bei Patienten mit verschiedenen Diagnosen. Es wird vorgeschlagen, für Wilcoxons Vorzeichenrangtest eine Stratifizierungsmodifikation der gleichen Art zu verwenden, wie sie für den Zweistichprobentest bereits existiert. Abschließend wird diskutiert, unter welchen Bedingungen die beiden rivalisierenden Tests — der stratifizierende Vorzeichenrangtest und der Vorzeichentest — indiziert sind.

Using Wilcoxon’s signed rank test for differences in position as a basis, the question is investigated which procedure should be followed if a sample of observation pairs respectively their differences is not homogeneous but stratified, e.g. in the case of patients with different diagnoses. It is suggested that the same type of stratification modification be used for Wilcoxon’s signed rank test as already exists for the two-samples-test. In conclusion, the question is discussed under which conditions the two rival tests — the stratified signed rank test and the sign test — are indicated.
