Zusammenfassung

Seit etwa 15 Jahren beschäftigen sich Zahnärzte und Schmerztherapeuten mit chronischem Kiefer- und Gesichtsschmerz. Nach wissenschaftlichen Studien ist eine erhöhte Prävalenz bei Kindern und Jugendlichen zu verzeichnen. Der folgende Artikel versucht eine systemische Betrachtung dieses Phänomens und zeigt anhand praktischer Erfahrungen Therapieoptionen im interdisziplinären Netzwerk auf.

Abstract

For about 15 years now, dentists and pain therapists have been dealing with chronic jaw and facial pain. According to scientific studies, an increased prevalence in children and adolescents can be observed. The following article tries to take a systemic look at this phenomenon, and shows therapeutic options in the interdisciplinary network on the basis of practical experience.
