Significance
Juliprosine and Juliprosopine are 2,3-dihydro-1H-indolizidinium alkaloids with potential antifungal activity. Snider and co-workers have described the first syntheses of these molecules via a biomimetic Chichibabin pyridine synthesis, and they have established the relative stereochemistry of Juliprosopine.
