Altern und Osteopathie: Die Rolle von Beweisen

Zusammenfassung

Mit ihrem Wechsel hin zu einem biopsychosozialen Modell nähert sich die konventionelle Medizin Stills osteopathischen Ansätzen. Doch der Osteopathie fällt es wohl schwer, ihre Wirksamkeit gegenüber einer evidenzbasierten Medizin zu belegen. Wenn neue Modelle der Gesundheitsversorgung von Senioren und Richtlinien für die Praxis entstehen, müssen osteopathische Erfolge im Rahmen der Still'schen Philosophie verteidigt werden. Die Osteopathie weist auf verschiedenen Gebieten positive Ergebnisse auf. Empfehlungen sollen helfen, Osteopathen in der Wissenschaft und in der Praxis zu stärken und besser zu integrieren.

Summary

Conventional medicine is transforming into a biopsychosocial model, drawing ever nearer to Still's osteopathic principles. However it seems to be difficult for osteopathy to substantiate its effectiveness compared to evidence-based medicine. If new models in health care of the elderly and regulations for clinics are developed, osteopathic achievements based on Still's philosophy must be upheld. Osteopathy can present proof of positive results in many different areas. Recommendations are intended to assist osteopaths to strengthen their position in the medical field and improve their integration into science and clinical applications.

Vieillesse et ostéopathie: le rôle des preuves

En s'orientant vers un modèle biopsychosocial, la médecine conventionnelle s'approche des données ostéopathiques de Still. Toutefois, il reste difficile à l'ostéopathie de prouver son efficacité vis-à-vis d'une médecine basée sur les preuves. Quand de nouveaux modèles de prévention sanitaires pour les personnes âgées et de nouvelles recommandations pour la pratique voient le jour, les succès ostéopathiques doivent être défendus dans le cadre de la philosophie de Still. L'ostéopathie présente des résultats positifs dans des secteurs différents. Des recommandations sont données pour aider à soutenir les ostéopathes dans la recherche et la pratique et pour mieux les intégrer.
