Significance

A key step in the reported synthesis of lennoxamine (4) involves a one-pot Pd-catalyzed Heck-Suzuki-Miyaura reaction. Thus, treatment of the ynamide 2 under the typical Heck conditions in the presence of base (obligatory for the Suzuki-Miyaura process) leads to the isoindolinone 3 in good yield.
