Significance

Inspired by the recent work of Dongol and Tay (Tetrahedron Lett. 2006, 47, 927-930) on palladium-catalyzed cascade reactions with N-Boc-protected O-homoallylhydroxylamines and aryl iodides to form N-Boc isoxazolidines, the authors developed a tandem N-arylation-cyclization-C-arylation reaction.
