Significance

An efficient method for the syntheses of 1,2-dihydroquinolines and quinolines via Au(I)-catalyzed microwave-assisted tandem hydro­amination-hydroarylation has been developed by the authors of this article. The reaction was successfully applied to various anilines and alkynes.
