Zusammenfassung
Es wurden Ergebnisse der Fluoreszenz-Angiographie bei insgesamt 37 Patienten im Alter
von 5 bis 25 Jahre vorgestellt, die wegen Diabetes in einem Zeitraum von 2 Monaten
bis 17 Jahre behandelt wurden. Bei 8 Patienten wurden Symptome der Mikroangiopathie
festgestellt. Bei 18 anderen Patienten wurden funktionelle Störungen des Pigmentepithels
im Bereich der Makula in Form sog. „window defects” nachgewiesen. Die Autoren betonen
die Möglichkeit des Vorkommens dieser Frühsymptome der Makulopathie bereits in den
ersten Jahren des Diabetes.
Summary
This report presents results of fluorescein angiography performed in 37 patients aged
from five to 25 years and treated for diabetes for periods varying from two months
to 17 years. Symptoms of microangiopathy were found in eight patients; in 18 others,
functional disturbances of the macular pigment epithelium appeared in the form of
“window defects.” The authors stress the possibility of the occurrence of these initial
signs of maculopathy even in the first years following onset of diabetes.
