Zusammenfassung
Die Katecholaminkonzentrationen der Augenvorderkammerflüssigkeit und des Plasmas wurden
bei 70 Patienten während einer Kataraktoperation gemessen. Die Noradrenalin- und Dopaminkonzentration
war signifikant (p<0.0001) höher im Auge als im Plasma. Patienten mit arterieller
Hypertonie zeigten eine signifikant (p<0.0001) tiefere Augen-Noradrenalinkonzentration.
Die Noradrenalinkonzentration im Plasma stieg mit dem Alter des Patienten signifikant
an (p<0.003), während sie im Auge konstant blieb.
Summary
The catecholamine concentrations in aqueous humor and venous blood were measured in
70 patients during cataract surgery. The concentration of norepinephrine and dopamine
was significantly higher in the eye (p<0.0001) than in the plasma. The catecholamine
concentrations in the eye were not age-related. The norepinephrine concentration in
the plasma, however, increased significantly (p<0.003) with aging. Patients with systemic
hypertension had a significantly lower norepinephrine concentration (p<0.0001) in
the eye than the normotensive patients.
