Erythroprosopalgie oder Cluster Headache

Zusammenfassung

Die Erythroprosopalgie äußert sich in heftigen, periodisch auftretenden einseitigen Kopfschmerzattak-ken. Während der Schmerzanfälle kommt es auf dem homolateralen Auge zu vermehrter Durchblutung, konjunktivaler Injektion und Epiphora. Am häufigsten betroffen sind Männer zwischen dem 20. und 40. Lebensjahr. Klinik, Therapie und Differentialdiagnose dieser Erkrankung werden besprochen.

Summary

Erythroprosopalgia is characterized by severe unilaterally and periodically occurring attacks of headache. During these fits of pain there is an increase in blood flow in the homolateral eye, conjunctival injection and epiphora. Males aged between twenty and forty are most frequently affected. The clinical picture, therapy and differential diagnosis of this disease are discussed.
