2 Fälle von klinisch gesichertem Milzbrand der Lider im Rahmen einer Epidemie von
etwa 30 Fällen. Typisch ist ein schweres, pralles Lidödem, nach einigen Tagen gefolgt
von schwarzen Nekrosen. Infektionsquelle waren importierte Ziegenhaare aus Pakistan,
die zu Garn verarbeitet wurden.
Summary
Two cases of clinically certain anthrax of the lids in an epidemic of about 30 cases
are described. The typical sign is a massive impact edema of the lids followed by
black necrosis after a few days. The source of the infection was goat-hair imported
from Pakistan and used in yarn fabrication.
