Significance
Due to their unique carbon skeleton, triquinanes have attracted considerable synthetic interest. However, only a few enantioselective syntheses have been reported. The key step of this synthesis is an asymmetric cylopropenation to generate an enantiopure enyne C which is then subjected to a Pauson-Khand cyclization.
