Zusammenfassung

Die Frage des optimalen Zeitpunkts, um ein frühgeborenes Kind zu impfen, ist letztendlich nicht geklärt. Sicher ist, dass Frühgeborene einem erhöhten Risiko ausgesetzt sind, an einer schweren Infektionskrankheit zu erkranken. Zudem ist bekannt, dass die Ausbildung eines voll funktionsfähigen Immunsystems stark von dem Gestationsalter abhängig ist. Demgegenüber steht das Bestreben, den Kindern durch die Impfung eine wirksame und rechtzeitige Prophylaxe zu ermöglichen, d. h. Frühgeborene möglichst zeitnah nach Geburt zu immunisieren, da die Inzidenz verschiedener Krankheiten, wie z. B. invasiver Hib-Erkrankungen und Keuchhusten, bei Kindern im ersten Lebensjahr am höchsten ist. Diese Arbeit soll die grundlegenden Besonderheiten des sich entwickelnden Immunsystems darstellen und unter Berücksichtigung der empfohlenen Impfungen, eine praxisnahe Umsetzung ermöglichen.

Summary

When is the best time point to vaccinate a preterm infant? In the end this question is not cleared. Preterm infants are at an higher risk to aquire a severe infection. Besides this it is widely known, that the development of a functional immune system depends highly on the gestational age. On the other hand it must be the endeavor, to protect these infants with a effective prophylaxis in time, which means to vaccinate them short after birth, because of the fact, that in infants less than one year the highest incidence of some diseases, such as invasive Hib- and pertussis infections appears. This article demonstrates the main specialities of the developing immune system and should give a practical proposal, on consideration of the recommended schedule.
