PRECIPITATION DES GLYCOPROTEINES SERIQUES HUMAINES PAR DES EXTRAITS DE GRAINES D' ABRUS PRECATORIUS

Diverses glycoprotéines sériques humaines sont précipitées par des extraits de graines d'Abrus precatorius L. Ces protéines correspondent essentiellement à l' α_2–macroglobuline, l'haptoglobine, l'hémopexine, la transferrine, l'oroso-mucoïde et aux immunoglobulines igA, IgG et igM. L'hémagglutinine des graines joue un rôle important dans cette précipitation mais d'autres protéines des graines paraissent intervenir dans ce phénomène.

Abstract

Some human serum-glycoproteins are precipitated by extracts of Abrus precatorius seeds. These proteins mainly include a_2–macroglobulin, hapto-globin, hemopexin, siderophilin, orosomucoid and the three classes of immuno-globulins IgA, IgG and IgM. The hemagglutinin of the seeds play a major rôle in this precipitation but other seed proteins seem to be involved in the phenomenon.
