Abstract

Leaf and stem expiants of Ste via rebaudiana are able to produce vigorous calluses when cultured on synthetic media containing one auxin and one cytokinin. Callus fragments may be isolated and maintained in culture during an indefinite number of transfers without losing its proliferative ability. This paper also reports the in vitro culture of small stem cuttings.
