Abstract

From Calpurnea aure a three quinolizidine alkaloids, viz. calpurnin, angelictiglic ester of 13–hydroxylupanin and virgilinpyrrolcarboxylic acid, have been isolated; the corresponding free bases, virgilin and 13–hydroxylupanin, are proved by TLC.
