Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine chemische Rasse von Papaver bracteatum Lindl. beschrieben, deren Alkaloidbestand zu 98 % durch Thebain repräsentiert wird. Dieses ist in größter Menge in den dicken Speicherwurzeln vorhanden. Die mögliche Thebainausbeute durch Ernte der Wurzel im 2. Jahr beträgt bei dekapitierten Pflanzen mehr als 300 g je 100 qm.

Abstract

A new chemical strain of Papaver bracteatum Li ndl. is described, 98 per cent of whose alkaloid content is represented by thebaine. Its highest amount is found in the thick storage roots. By harvesting the roots of the pruned plants the possible thebaine yield may exceed in the second year 300 gr. pro 100 qm.
