Summary

Scopolia tangutica is a perennial plant which performs its annual life cycle within about three months. The roots and the herb are promising sources of tropane alkaloids. In Russia efforts are undertaken to arrive at a commercial production of the crude drugs derived from Scopolia tangutica.
