Significance
TunePhos-type chiral diphosphine ligands have been demonstrated previously to be highly effective in the asymmetric hydrogenation of N-substituted allylphthalimides and α-keto esters. In this report, TunesPhos/1,2-diamine-ruthenium(II) complexes catalyzed the asymmetric hydrogenation of various aromatic ketones with very high reactivity and excellent enantioselectivities.
