Significance

High yield and ee values for this rhodium-catalyzed addition of arylboroxines to N-phosphinoyl aldimines is achieved through steric tuning of the diphenylphosphorus moiety and careful optimization of the reaction conditions. The choice of solvent/molecular sieves ­system seems to be quite unique.
