Oleanane And Ursane Saponins From The Roots Of Glandularia X Hybrida
Bioassay guided fractionation of the roots of Glandularia x hybrida (Groenl. & Ruempler) Nesom & Pruski (Verbenaceae) resulted in isolation of oleanane and ursane triterpene derivatives. Three new saponins along with five triterpene derivatives were isolated. The structures of the isolated metabolites were elucidated based on comprehensive 1-D and 2-D NMR spectroscopic data as well as HR-ESI-MS. The isolated compounds were identified as 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside-hedragenin-28-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)]-β-D-glucopyransyl ester (1), 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside-hedragenin-28-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (2), 23-acetoxy-3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside-pomolic acid-28-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (3), 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside-hedragenin-28-oic acid (4), 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside-pomolic acid-28-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (5), hedragenin (6), 3α,24β-dihydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid (7) and ursolic acid (8).
