European Paediatric Surgeons' Association (EUPSA) — 2016

The Editorial Board of the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery (EJPS) is very pleased to release the 2016 EUPSA Congress issue containing articles presented at the 17th European Pediatric Surgeons' Association's (EUPSA) Annual Congress, which was held in Milano, Italy, June 15 to 18, 2016.

In total, 696 abstracts were submitted to the EUPSA Congress. The acceptance rate for oral presentations was 18%. In addition, 288 abstracts were accepted as posters. All the authors of the accepted abstracts were invited to submit a manuscript to EJPS. Overall, 43 manuscripts were submitted. All manuscripts were reviewed by the EUPSA Publication Committee consisting of seven members: Professor Ernest van Heurn, Professor Whit Holcomb, Professor Agostino Pierro, Professor Juan Tovar, Professor Tomas Wester, Professor Benno Ure, and Dr. Augusto Zani. The Editorial Board would like to thank the members of the committee for their support. After extensive discussion, the committee accepted 21 excellent manuscripts for publication. The accepted manuscripts represent the high quality of scientific work being done by pediatric surgeons and we appreciate their publication.
