Diels-Alder cycloaddition between 5,6-didehydrodibenzo[a,e]cyclooctene and various furans leads to endoxides which are deoxygenated by low valent titanium to 1-substituted and 1,4-disubstituted tribenzo[a,c,e]cyclooctenes. Some chemical transformations of these new class of compounds are also reported.
