Conjugate addition of organo-, silyl- and stannylcuprates to (1,3-diphenyl-2-propynylidene)morpholinium triflates yields the respective 4-(1,3-diphenyl-3-R-1,2-propadienyl)morpholines (R = t-Bu, vinyl, phenyl, silyl, stannyl). 1-CH-substituted allenes of this type cannot be isolated, however, since they readily tautomerize to give 2-morpholino-1,3-butadienes.
