The palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction between 5-tributylstannyl-2(3 or 4)-furancarbaldehydes or N-methyl-5-tributylstannyl-2-pyrrolecarbaldehyde and chloroformates or carbamoyl chlorides produces the corresponding formyl heterocyclic esters or amides in good yields, without protection of the reactive formyl group.
