We report a convenient method for synthesis of functionnalized acylsilanes (β-hydroxy, α,β-unsaturated and β-oxoacylsilanes) from epoxides and 2-lithio-2-trimethylsilyl-1,3-dithiane. This method was adapted to 5,6-anhydro-D-glucose derivative to prepare various glucose derived acylsilanes.
