An efficient synthesis of archaeol glycoglycerolipid diethers is described: peracetylated pentenylfuranosides produced in a one-pot procedure from Glc, Gal or Man react efficiently with glycerol diether 5 to furnish 1,2-trans glycolipids in high yields and excellent stereoselectivities whereas direct glycosidation of D-glucurone gave after lactone opening the uronamide glycolipid 13.
