Abstract
Two new phenolic glucosides, a new γ-lactone glucoside, and adenosine
were isolated from the sprouts of Crocus sativus
L. The new compounds were characterized as 2,4- dihydroxy-6-methoxyacetophenone-2β-D-glucopyranoside
(1), 2,3,4-trihydroxy-6-methoxyacetopenone-3-β-D-glucopyranoside
(2) and 3-(S)-3-β-D-glucopyranosyloxybutanolide
(3), respectively. All structures were elucidated on
the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence.
