Abstract
Ibogane alkaloids were shown to have a very high arousal activity. Similarly, a stimulating CNS activity was demonstrated for vobasine alkaloids. The influence of certain substituents was evidenced: a methoxy substituent increases the activity, while it is lowered by a methoxycarbonyl substituent.
