Abstract

From flowers and leaves of Gentiana pedicellata (Gentianaceae), two new iridoids, 4′-p-coumaroyl loganic acid and 4′-p-coumaroyl loganin, have been isolated along with the known iridoid, loganic acid. This is the first report of iridoid glucosides with the 4′-oxygen of the glucose moiety esterified.
