Abstract

The following four methylated flavones were obtained from the leaves of Teucrium polium L. (Labiatae). 4′, 5-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone (cirsimaritin); 3′, 5 dihydroxy-4′,6,7-trimethoxyflavone (eupatorin); 5-hydroxy-4′,7-dimethoxyflavone (apigenin-4′, 7-dimethylether); 4′, 5, 3′-trihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone (cirsiliol). One of these (4′, 5-dihydroxy- 6,7-dimethoxyflavone) has been already reported in the same plant by Brieskorn and Biechele (1).
