Abstract

Catalytic hydrogenation of two iridoids of unusual type with an exocyclic double bond, namely serrulatoloside and gardoside methyl ester, over PtO2 catalyst to give 10-desoxypatrinoside and 8-epiloganin, respectively, is described.
