Significance
Novel biisoquinoline-based chiral diaminocarbene ligands are efficiently synthesized from several chiral amines. Application of such ligands for the copper-catalyzed asymmetric SN2′ allylic alkylation reactions with Grignard reagents affords good to modest regioselectivities and enantioselectivities.
