Abstract

The major alkaloids obtained from an Egyptian sample of Fumaria judaica Boiss. were stylopine, protopine and parfumine (2-hydroxy, 3-methoxy-8-keto ochotensane). Coptisine, cheilanthifoline and bicuculline were obtained as minor alkaloids. The alkaloid „fumjudaine” is identical to stylopine.
