Zusammenfassung

Das Auftreten von 5 Komorbiditäten (Cataracta senilis, Pseudoexfoliatio lentis, Fuchs-Endotheldystrophie, altersbedingte Makuladegeneration, Keratoconjunctivitis sicca) kann zu einer massiven Einschränkung des Sehvermögens führen. Engmaschige Verlaufskontrollen und die gezielte Therapie jeder einzelnen Erkrankung sind notwendig, um mit den entsprechenden Vorsichtsmaßnahmen die erfolgreiche Operation des grauen Stars durchführen zu können. Diese Fallserie zeigt, dass die Kataraktoperation trotz infauster Prognose zu visueller Rehabilitation führen kann.

Abstract

The co-occurence of 5 diseases (cataract, Fuchs dystrophy, pseudoexfoliation syndrome, age-related macular degeneration and dry eye syndrome) can lead to massive impairment of visual acuity. Our case series show that cataract surgery can lead to an enormous profit in visual rehabilitation and therefore in daily routine.
