Significance

Polyanthellin A is a marine cembranoid with potential antimalarial activity. The key step in the synthesis of Campbell and Johnson is a Lewis acid catalyzed formal [3+2] cycloaddition between cyclopropane G and aldehyde H to give the tetrahydrofuran J.
