Significance

Herein, a convenient protocol for the preparation of N-Boc and N-Cbz-α-amido stannanes from α-amido sulfones is disclosed. In the presence of TMSSnBu3 and CsF, the substrates are converted into the corresponding stannanes in good yields. Sensitive functional groups, such as esters and cyano groups, were tolerated in this original reaction sequence.
