Pancreatic Serous Cystadenoma in a Child
Publication History
Publication Date:
06 May 2011 (online)

Introduction
Pancreatic tumors are rare in children, with serous cystadenoma a less frequent histological type [1]. Only a few cases of serous cystadenoma in children have been reported in the English language literature [1] [2]. The first 4 reported cases were all treated with pancreatectomy [1] [2]. However, serous cystadenoma is a benign neoplasm, and thus some authors suggest a more conservative approach [1] [3].
