Abstract

Three new sauchinone analogues, sauchinones B–D (13), together with sauchinone (4), were isolated from the aerial part of Saururus chinensis. Structures of the new compounds were determined by extensive spectroscopic data as well as X-ray analysis. Compounds 3 and 4 inhibited nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccharide stimulated RAW 264.7 cells with IC50 values of 13.0 and 14.2 µM, respectively.
