Abstract

The reaction of propargylic and allylic aminals with trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride at low temperature produces imminium salts, which react in the presence of N-methylpyrrolidinone (NMP) with functionalized arylmagnesium compounds, providing polyfunctional propargylic and allylic amines in satisfactory yields.
