Abstract
Carbosilane dendrimers with farnesyl groups on the periphery were prepared up to the fourth generation by the use of farnesol and Si-Cl bonded carbosilane parent dendrimers. Dendrimers (first to fourth generation) provided in all cases very high yields. NMR spectra, GPC data as well as elemental analysis are provided for the characteristic farnesyl dendrimers. The molar mass of the first generation of farnesyl dendrimer were determined using MALDI-TOF mass spectrum.
