Zusammenfassung
Wir berichten über eine 67jährige Patientin, bei welcher 6 Jahre nach Trabekulektomie
eine Pilzendophthalmitis auftrat.
Als Erreger konnte Pseudallescheria boydii nachgewiesen werden. Dieser Organismus
kommt selten als Infektursache vor. So sind lediglich 14 Keratitis- und 8 End-ophthalmitisfälie
bekannt.
Miconazol gilt als Therapeutikum der Wahl für diesen Pilz. Trotzdem war bei 55% der
publizierten Fälle eine Eviszeration oder Enukleation notwendig, so auch bei unserer
Patientin.
Summary
A case is reported of a 67-year-old female patient, in whom a fungal endophthalmitis
occurred 6 years after trabeculectomy.
Pseudallescheria Boydii was isolated. This organism is a rare cause of infection.
In the literature only 14 cases of keratitis and 8 cases of endophthalmitis have been
reported.
Miconazol is the therapy of choice. However in 55% of the published cases, (as in
the one reported here), an exenteration or enucleation of the affected bulbus was
necessary.
