Abstract

Methods are described for the synthesis of uridine nucleoside derivatives containing an α-3′′-methylenesulfonamide functionality. Several monomers possessing this functionality in both ribo- and deoxyribo-forms are detailed. Use of these monomers to construct the first N-acylsulfonamide-bridged dinucleoside is also described.
