Significance
The authors present the synthesis and characterization of the novel phenylene-bridged boron-nitrogen containing π-conjugated dendrimers 1 and 2. The 1,3,5-triaminobenzene moiety as the core linked by a phenyl ring to the peripheral boron atoms, sets up a donor-acceptor system within a dendritic structure.
