Significance

A preparation of cyclic peptoids ­using solid-phase ring-closing metathesis (RCM) was developed. Thus, the RCM of resin-supported linear peptoids 1 in the presence of Hoveyda-Grubbs catalyst followed by treatment with TFA gave the corresponding 16- to 25-membered ­cyclic peptoids 2 in 78 to >95% yield (11 examples).
