Pars plana-Lentektomie

Zusammenfassung

An insgesamt 75 Augen von 63 Patienten wurde eine Pars plana-Lentektomie durchgeführt. Indikationen waren vor allem: Kongenitale und frühkindliche Katarakt, Cataracta traumatica und Cataracta complicata bei Uveitis. Es werden das operationstechnische Vorgehen, die Schwierigkeiten sowie die intra-und postoperativen Komplikationen geschildert. Während die Operation und die postoperative Versorgung bei älteren Patienten kaum Schwierigkeiten bereitet, treten bei Säuglingen und Kleinkindern eine Reihe von Problemen auf. Entscheidend sind hier unter anderem die Wahl des richtigen Operationszeitpunktes, eine schonende Technik und eine straffe optische Rehabilitation, welche eine enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen Klinik und Elternhaus erfordert. Sind diese Voraussetzungen erfüllt, dann kann auch die Prognose der kongenitalen und frühkindlichen Katarakt heute als gut angesehen werden.

Summary

Pars plana lentectomy was performed in a total of 75 eyes of 63 patients. The main indications were congenital and infantile cataract, traumatic cataract, and complicated cataract associated with uveitis. The surgical technique, the difficulties encountered, and the intraoperative and postoperative complications are described. While there are hardly any problems associated with the operation and postoperative care in older patients, a number of difficulties occur in infants and small children. Of decisive importance here are, among other things, correct timing of the operation, a gentle surgical technique and disciplined optical rehabilitation, which requires close cooperation between the clinic and the parents. If these requirements are satisfied, the prognosis of congenital and infantile cataract can be considered favorable.
