1-Amino- and 1-Alkylamino-4-hydroxy-4-methyl-1-penten-3-ones from 2,2-Dimethyl-3-(2H)-furanone 1-Amino- and 1-alkylamino-4-hydroxy-4-methyl-1-penten-3-ones are obtained in good yield at room temperature from 2,2-dimethyl-3(2H)-furanone and ammonia or primary amines, respectively.
