Abstract

Roots of Salvia lanigera Poir. yielded a new icetexane [10,12-dihydroxy-9(10→20)-abeo-8,11, 13-abietatriene], named lanigerol, which had activity (MIC 1 mg/ml) against Gram-positive bacteria.
